This is my take on the repub/nra response to the tragedy in Conn....
"If we had less gun control those poor students could have defended themselves."
Apologies, and my sincere sympathy and grief for the victims and their families.
But how far can we take the 2nd amendment?
Sure, criminals will get guns. Rational people will get them, too. But if we eliminate the criminal DEALERS, perhaps that will help curtail these increasingly heinous actions. And, YES. Background checks. Psychological testing. Before the purchase. No one is saying a normal person cannot possess weapons. But let's get serious. The total free market we have today is certainly contributing to these tragedies. 2nd amendment doesn't say that maniacs have the right to bear arms to murder masses of innocent children.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed."
Sure. But what if those arms go to people who wish to harm our own?
There must be an answer to this. We cannot stand for more bloodshed like this. Innocent children? When will this end?

Here's a question...
If you mouth the words to something and a lip reader sees you, do you make a sound?

The Weather
Texas is currently being punished by god for harboring George W. Bush. And for DeLay. And for redistricting.
